Purpose of this site
The Site shares information about New Hope, our ministries and events, and the message of Jesus. Sermons, devotionals and articles are offered for spiritual encouragement and general information. They are not medical, legal, financial or professional counseling advice. If you are in crisis, call or text 988, or call 911 in an emergency. Our pastors are also glad to talk with you; see Contact below.
Sharing our content
We want our teaching to reach people. You're welcome to share, link to and quote sermons, articles and other content New Hope creates for personal, non-commercial or ministry use, as long as you:
Livestreams, photos and video
Services and events may be livestreamed, recorded or photographed, and shared on the Site, YouTube, Facebook and Instagram. By attending, you understand you may appear in these. If you'd rather not be shown, or want an image of you or your child removed, contact us and we'll take it down where reasonably possible. We do not post children's full names online.
Prayer requests and messages you send us
Prayer requests go to our Prayer Ministry and are kept confidential. Other messages are seen only by the pastors, staff and ministry leaders who need them to respond. We will not publish anything you send us without your permission.
If you share ideas or suggestions about the Site or our ministries, we may use them freely, without any obligation to you. Please don't send anything unlawful or abusive, or another person's private information without their permission.
Online giving
Online gifts are processed by a third-party provider, Subsplash/Stripe, whose own terms and privacy policy also apply. New Hope does not receive or store your full card or bank account number.
When you use the Site, please don't:
The Site links to other services, including YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Yelp, our email newsletter provider and our giving provider, and sometimes to other ministries or resources. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content or privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement.
Disclaimer
We work to keep service times, events and other information accurate, but details can change and mistakes happen. The Site is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties about the Site, including that it will be error-free or always available.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, New Hope and its pastors, staff, volunteers and affiliated Foursquare entities are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site. Some states don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
Governing law and resolving concerns
These Terms are governed by California law. If you have a concern about the Site or anything on it, please contact us first. We'll work with you in good faith to resolve it. Any legal action about the Site must be brought in the state courts located in El Dorado County, California, or the federal courts for the Eastern District of California.

- Use of gifts. Gifts are voluntary contributions to New Hope and are used at the discretion of church leadership to carry out our ministry. We honor gifts designated for a specific ministry or fund whenever possible, but the church keeps final authority over how all gifts are used.
- Tax receipts. New Hope is a church recognized under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Gifts are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law, and no goods or services are provided in exchange for them unless stated. Annual giving statements are provided by [January 31] of each year.
- Mistakes. If you give the wrong amount, give twice by accident or see a charge you don't recognize, contact us within [30] days and we'll work with you to correct it.
When you use the Site, please don't:
- Break any law or infringe anyone's rights
- Harass, threaten or deceive anyone, or impersonate New Hope or its staff
- Try to gain unauthorized access to the Site, its accounts or its systems
- Upload viruses or other harmful code
- Collect visitors' information or copy Site content in bulk for commercial purposes
